AMWA Gender Equity EmpowHER Summit

May 14-15, 2022
Virtual Summit

Keynote Speaker – Sara Laschever

NYT Best-selling author of Women Don’t Ask and Ask For It

You face the art of negotiation daily whether you realize it or not. You have to negotiate for yourselves, your team, your family, and your patients, as you manage your work and home life.  Women will be more successful, according to experts writing in the Harvard Business Review, if you have the confidence to overcome obstacles and persist in the face of resistance.

AMWA wants women in medicine to traverse this tricky terrain with greater confidence and to have the strategies necessary to negotiate successfully and with fortitude.

Sara Laschever is an internationally recognized authority on the challenges women face at work, with a particular focus on helping women in the Art of Negotiation. After writing her first book, Women Don’t Ask: The High Cost of Avoiding Negotiation with Linda Babcock, they followed up with, Ask for It! How Women Can Use the Power of Negotiation to Get What They Really Want — A how-to book aimed to help women learn to become better negotiators.
