AMWA helps provide opportunities to educate national-level policy makers on health care reform and women’s health issues.
AWHS provides care to the medically underserved in the U.S. and abroad, giving direct assistance to clinics and providing travel grants for medical students and residents working in underserved communities.
AMWA strives to accomplish gender equity as a fact of life in society. The Gender Equity Task Force engages in activities, action and collaborations pursuant to this goal, beginning with the healthcare industry of which women physicians are one component.
Professor Atsuko Heshiki of Japan was Past President of the Medical Women’s International Association (2007-2010) and the late Chair of the MWIA Centennial Committee. This fund will support the carrying out of her vision for the MWIA Centennial.
Support AMWA students through a variety of programs, including: academic and need-based awards, travel and event scholarships and student communications.
Ensure implementation of a dynamic agenda committed to advancing women in medicine and improving women’s health.
AMWA seeks to raise awareness about human trafficking and provide resources to healthcare providers so that they may better care for their patients. Your donation will support the work of AMWA’s Physicians Against the Trafficking of Humans (PATH) initiative.
The Dr. Linda Brodsky Memorial Fund honors Dr. Brodksy’s memory by endorsing her passions for gender equity, medical student success, clinical research and the advancement of women physicians.
Support AMWA’s Annual Meeting by helping to underwrite expenses or support student travel.
Help support our growing resident division. Your funds will support leadership development, awards, and travel grants for AMWA residents.
Support AMWA’s work and leadership in promoting sex and gender specific medicine. AMWA was a lead co-sponsor for both the 2015 Sex and Gender Medical Education Summit and the 2018 Sex and Gender Health Education Summit and a co-founder of the Sex and Gender Health Collaborative.
