Verity Ramirez

Student Division Region 6 Director

Verity Ramirez is a member of the class of 2016 at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester, Michigan. She is a graduate of Taylor University, where she received a BS in biology. In college, she had the opportunity to volunteer for a summer at an HIV clinic in the Ivory Coast, as well as study for a semester in Jerusalem.

In medical school, Verity served as the Outreach Chair and later the Vice President of the OUWB AMWA chapter. Currently, she is a Co-Chair of the AMWA Social Media Committee and a member of the Centennial Conference Committee. With an ongoing interest in women’s health issues, advocacy, and leadership, Verity views her involvement in AMWA as the perfect avenue for engaging with these topics in a meaningful and practical way.

While a native of Maine, the Midwest has become another home to her over the past six years in college and medical school. She has enjoyed working with all of the women of Region 6 this year.

When school and time allow, Verity loves spending time outside, listening to NPR, and reading a good book.
