Rebecca Yanovsky

Student Division External Relations C0-Chair

My name is Rebecca Yanovsky and I am an M2 at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Originally from Northern California, I am excited to be going to medical school in such a dynamic environment and experiencing snow days for the first time!

I graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelors of Science with Honors. While an undergraduate, I did research on Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Cancer, worked as a Student Admissions Ambassador, and was part of the leadership team of my sorority.

I am now part of the dual degree program at Tufts pursuing my MBA in healthcare and non-profit management as well as my MD. I am specifically interested in women’s leadership in the healthcare professional space, and have organized several events on campus as the Co-President of AMWA to showcase female physician leaders in various sectors of medicine. I also served as the MD/MBA student ambassador on student senate. Finally, I volunteer my time with first year students teaching self-care, mindfulness, and meditation skills to handle the personal challenges of medical training.

I love the outdoors – when the weather permits, I am hiking, camping, and soaking up all that the beautiful northeast has to offer. When it’s chilly, I keep myself busy with yoga and a little extra baking. I am very excited about the opportunity to be part of the AMWA National Student Leadership Board to work with other passionate female future physicians on the common goals and mission of AMWA. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
