Careen Biniamin

Student Division Awards Chair

Careen Biniamin is currently a 3rd year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. During her time in medical school, she has been involved in various interest groups and organizations, including her local AMWA chapter, to further hone her leadership skills. She has also been the chair of the Health and Wellness committee at Morehouse since her first year there. She passionately advocates for mental health awareness and enjoys collaborating with the rest of the committee to plan and execute many events that promote student health and wellness. For the past year, she has served as AMWA’s national student awards chair and has gained a lot more experience delegating tasks and effectively communicating with others as head of the awards committee. She hopes to continue fulfilling AMWA’s mission and goals through this position!
