Kaitlyn Simmons
Premedical Student Division Region 8 Director
Originally from Mesa, Arizona, Kaitlyn Simmons is a member of the Class of 2015 at the University of Notre Dame. She is a Science Pre-Professional major with dual Anthropology and Science, Technology, and Values Minors. Kaitlyn is currently participating in a joint research project between pancreatic and breast cancer research labs at the Harper Cancer Institute at the Indiana University School of Medicine-South Bend. Kaitlyn has a passion for music and is a member in the marching band, hockey pep band, and Symphonic Winds at Notre Dame. She is a mentor in the Bandlink program, through which elementary and middle school children at local Catholic schools learn how to play band instruments.
She is dedicated to serving others and currently volunteers at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a local South Bend hospital. Kaitlyn is looking forward to serving as the Undergraduate Regional Director for Region 8 and is excited to become more involved in AMWA.
