verity ramirezVerity Ramirez is a first year internal medicine resident at Maine Medical Center and recent graduate of Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. In medical school, she was an active AMWA member locally, regionally, and nationally. As Region 6 director, she put together a conference on the female narrative within the Syrian refugee crisis. She has a strong interest in global primary care and public health, and is excited to combine those interests with her continued involvement with AMWA as global health chair. Verity has participated in medical missions in Nepal, the Philippines, and Belize as well as spent time in an HIV clinic in the Ivory Coast. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, road biking, and listening to NPR podcasts.
