Thea Swenson, MD

Thea Swenson, MDThea Lananh Swenson, MD, is a physical medicine and rehabilitation resident at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Denver, Colorado. Thea received a Bachelor’s of Science in product design from Stanford University and a Medical Degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Her interests are in sports and lifestyle medicine. Currently, she also serves on the Association of Academic Physiatrists’ Resident Fellows Council as the Education & Wellbeing representative, and she mentors start-ups at the Wond’ry, Vanderbilt’s Innovation Center.

Through AMWA, she hopes to continue connecting with, mentoring, and empowering other professional women.
