Kia B. O’Neal, MD


Kia B. O’Neal, MDKia B. O’Neal, MD is a Family Medicine resident at Cook County Health in Chicago, IL, who is interested in specializing in OB/Women’s Health.  Kia received her B.S. in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA and her M.S. in Biomedical Science from Rutgers University in Newark, NJ. She then went on to earn her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine.  While at IUSM, Kia served as the Student Chair of the Mentoring Committee for her AMWA branch.  She continued her involvement with AMWA, going on to join AMWA’s National Medical Student Leadership Team, initially serving as the Medical Student Awards Chair and ultimately joining the Executive Leadership Board by serving as Secretary of the Medical Student Section.  Kia was born and raised just outside of Chicago.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, hot yoga, cooking, and travelling, (especially back to New Orleans) as much as possible!
