Alexandra Goodwin, MD


Alexandra Goodwin, MD is a Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health – South Shore University and Huntington Hospitals. She received her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2019, and her BA from Harvard University in Human Evolutionary in 2013 with a secondary degree in Global Health and Health Policy. As a medical student, she was the Mentoring Coordinator for her school’s AMWA chapter where she started the “Fireside Chats” program to bring female faculty and students together for informal gatherings outside of the hospital. She also hosted a training for students on recognizing the signs of intimate partner violence in health care settings, and organized the medical school’s annual “Work-Life Balance” panel with female faculty. As an OB/GYN resident, Alexandra has had the privilege of caring for women through all stages of life, and plans to pursue Fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She has served on the AMWA board since her intern year as Conference Co-Chair and Treasurer. Alexandra was born and raised in New York City. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, hiking, cooking multi-cultural food, and playing with her two rescue cats Alfie and Finn.
