Alexandra Goodwin, MD
President
Alexandra Goodwin, MD is a first-year fellow in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA Health. She graduated from Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health in 2023. She received her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and her BA from Harvard University in Human Evolutionary Biology with a secondary degree in Global Health and Health Policy.
She has been an active member of AMWA since medical school, beginning as the Mentoring Coordinator for her school’s AMWA chapter, then serving on the Board of AMWA’s National Residency Division as Conference Co-Chair, Treasurer, President-Elect, and now President. In addition to caring for the gynecologic needs of women through all life stages, Alexandra is passionate about advocating for women as leaders in healthcare and providing the means to give women a ‘fair shake’ at maximizing their careers.
She was born and raised in New York City and now lives in Los Angeles. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, hiking, cooking, and playing with her two rescue cats Alfie and Finn.
