Emma Krebs

Premedical Division Secretary

My name is Emma Krebs, and I am a third-year Health Sciences student on the pre-medicine track at The Ohio State University. I am also double minoring in Human Anatomy and Spanish as I have realized a passion for these two subjects throughout my time as a student here. After taking anatomy sophomore year, I loved it so much I picked up a minor and became an anatomy TA. My inspiration for minoring in Spanish came after I traveled to Bocas del Toro, Panama for 2 weeks last summer to volunteer in free health clinics for rural populations with a lack of access to healthcare. I will be taking a gap year after I graduate in 2024 to continue doing work as a Research Assistant in a lab at The Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology within The James Comprehensive Cancer Center. Currently, I work as a PCA in a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in a pediatric hospital, and through this I have discovered my passion for working with the pediatric population and for critical care medicine and cardiology. I hope to attend an MD program after my gap year and prepare for a pediatric residency during those four years.
