Kasturi Sinha

Premedical Division Region 9 Director

Kasturi Sinha is a second-year premedical student pursuing her BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology and a double major in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. Kasturi has been a part of AMWA on a chapter-level since her second-semester of freshman year and has loved the community and support within this network.

Outside of AMWA, Kasturi is a Health Advocate at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where she is work closely with patients and families, addressing barriers to care related to food insecurity, housing, transportation, health insurance, and language access. Kasturi is dedicated to empowering underprivileged communities. Kasturi also works as a medical assistant at an urgent care clinic, managing end-to-end processes, ranging from patient registration to taking vitals and conducting EKGs and routine tests. In her spare time, I love to dance Bharatnatyam (an Indian classical style) and read books about different perspectives in the medical field.

Kasturi is grateful to have found a truly supportive community at AMWA’s UC Berkeley chapter and looks forward to getting to know more peers across National AMWA and empower our community together.
