Premedical Region 6 Director
Kristi Bears is a third-year Health Sciences major at the University of Florida. Currently, she is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, the Bachelor of Health Science Honors Program, and University of Florida Honors Program. She is also a teaching assistant for Introduction to Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has volunteered in the Emergency Department and Anesthesia Workroom for over 200 hours, and has volunteered in the Center for Pharmacogenomics research lab, which focuses on personalized medicine. In her sophomore year, Bears cofounded an AMWA pre-medical branch and served as the vice president of the new organization. In her junior year, she served as the co-president and will be the sole president in her senior year. Some of her hobbies include going to yoga and drawing. In the future, she will be applying to medical school with current interests in anesthesiology and cardiology.
