Premedical Mentorship Chair
Maya Roytman is a third-year, undergraduate student at Loyola University Chicago pursuing degrees in Public Health and Neuroscience on the pre-health track. She is the co-founder of the American Medical Women’s Association branch at her university. She joined AMWA as a national member at the end of her freshman year and became involved as the Co-Chair in the Dance, Theater, and Medicine Committee, the Pre-Med Research Chair on the Physician Infertility Initiative, and served as the Premedical Division’s Co-Conference Chair in 2021-2022. Outside of AMWA, some activities Maya is involved in include being a research assistant, a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, Nu Rho Psi, Bioethics Bowl, LUC Mentors, and a Kaplan Student Brand Ambassador. She is amazed with the numerous opportunities AMWA provides to connect with other students who are also passionate about uplifting women in medicine, and she hopes that she can also serve as a role model for future AMWA members in her journey to becoming a physician and public health advocate.
