Join us at AMWA’S 104th National Conference in New York! 


Join the pre-medical division as we launch our third student presentation sessions at this upcoming year’s annual conference! AMWA’s 104th annual meeting will be held between July 25 – 28 in New York, NY.

This year’s conference is in conjunction with the Centennial MWIA Congress. We will be hosting various Pre-Medical Sessions including resume/CV reviews, mock interviews, hands-on workshops, and MORE!  More information on registration coming soon!

Pre-Medical Branch Student Presentation Applications will open soon!

Pre-Medical students also have an opportunity to present at the conference.
Students must register for the conference and can either present during the Pre-Medical Student Presentations or the Pre-Medical Branch Presentations. The Pre-Medical Student Presentations will be held jointly with the Medical Student Poster Presentations.

Pre-Medical Student Presentations:
Are you a working in a research lab, involved in an outside organization that helped you as a pre-medical student, or participating in advocacy work? Tell us about your experience! This is a great opportunity for you to share your personal involvement with other AMWA members from across the country.
Submission categories include but are not limited to: Clinical care – best practices, Clinical care – case study, Research – human subjects (clinical), Research – bench, advocacy, etc.

IMPORTANT! For the Branch Presentations, presentations will be required to be presented in a digital format. Your presentation will be a PowerPoint file consisting of approximately 5 slides. You must be available to present during your assigned time in order to be eligible. You will be assigned a 10-minute time slot to present (approximately 6 – 7 minutes for your presentation & 2 – 3 minutes for questions). Another email regarding timeslots and further instructions will be sent out to those who are accepted at a later time.

Branch Presentations applications for pre-medical students will come out soon, acceptances will be sent approximately within 4 weeks of submission. Decisions will be made on a rolling basis, thus, earlier submissions may be given preference.

Pre-Medical Branch Presentations

These presentations are designed for students to share their branch activity with other conference attendees. Whether you are just starting as a branch or have been approved for a long time, please share your chapter ideas and current activity.

Topics include but are not limited to: mentoring initiatives, monthly activities, charity involvement, fundraising events, etc.

Submission Guidelines:
*Limit of two presenters per presentation
*All branch member names/presenters should be listed.
*Submitting author must be available to present at the conference
*Provide a 400-word description of the presentation.
*Changes to your submission will not be accepted
*Formatting: at least text size 24
