Katherine Gold, MD, MSW, is not only a family physician and obstetrics and mental health researcher but also an assistant professor in the department of Family Medicine and OB/GYN at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Gold researches the impact of poor obstetrical outcomes on both mental and physical health and focuses on racial disparities in perinatal loss, stillbirth prevention in developing countries, and pregnancy and postpartum mental health, with a particular interest in Africa. In addition, she also researches physician wellness, mental health, and suicide.
