Truvella “Trudy” Reese practices General Dentistry in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is the owner of Crowne Dental, a private dental practice where she performs family and cosmetic dentistry. From this location she runs “Doc2Be” a mentoring program for individuals interested in careers in health professions. Doc2Be is a continuation of her mentor role established while on Clinical Faculty at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, School of Dental Medicine. Additionally, she founded “Vegas Smiles” a free dental clinic where Dr. Reese provides pro-bono dentistry for those with financial need, a touching story or they are reentering
the workforce.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Reese is an in-home volunteer at Refuge for Women. Refuge for Women is a faith based safe house for women rescued from human trafficking Weekly she works with the residents at Refuge on job and life skills to help them gain independence. She is the current President of the City of Lights Dental Society, a chair for the Oral Health component of the American Women’s Medical Association Physicians Against Trafficking of Humans (AWMA-
PATH) since 2019, and a member of Health Professional Education, Advocacy, Linkage (HEAL) Trafficking. Dr. Reese is currently working on a “Call to Action” paper for the American Dental Association on trafficking as it relates to dentistry.
