    Elizabeth Berdan, MD

    President 2020 – 2021

    Elizabeth A (Liz) Berdan, MD, MS, is a pediatric general and thoracic surgeon at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma, WA. Her surgical residency was completed at the University of Minnesota, and her fellowship was completed in 2017 at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Liz is married to Randy, and together they have two daughters. She is a martial artist studying Ninpo Bugei and Jujutsu Renmei. Her most recent infatuation are audiobooks.  

    Since 2013, as a resident-member of AMWA, Liz has educated our medical community about victims of sex trafficking. Liz continues as Co-Chair of AMWA’s Physicians Against the Trafficking of Humans and Co-Creator of the CME-accredited LIFT human trafficking training initiatives.
