Women Writers in Medicine — an organization working to amplify the voices and research of women in healthcare — is recruiting institutional partners to join in a study of the current state of publication for women in medicine and clinical research, and the impact of publication on pay, promotion, and research funding. Our aim is to co-create a set of recommendations for and with institutions to close the gender gap and broaden the work and research of women.
Participants will be provided methods to evaluate the last 10 years of publications at their institution, as well as research support as questions arise. A small grant will also be given to partners to honor their participation. Resulting data will be collaboratively published and disseminated, with further research questions developed into a phase two of the project.
