NGOs in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) may submit written statements on the thematic issues considered by CSW, in accordance with Council resolution 1996/31.
Themes

Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls; - Review theme:
Participation in and access of women to the media, and information and communications technologies and their impact on and use as an instrument for the advancement and empowerment of women (agreed conclusions of the forty-seventh session)
Submission of written statements will be open for NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC from 30 September to 17 October 2017 via United Nations CSO-net. The link to online submission will be posted on 30 September. UN Women will not be able to accept statements submitted via e-mail. NGOs are strongly encouraged to submit joint statements in collaboration with other NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC.
