Who: Training course by Girls Educational and Mentoring Services (GEMS), founded by Rachel Lloyd.  Sponsored by the American Medical Women’s Association and Mount Sinai Global Health, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Why:  To train the health professional in (1) identifying risk factors for sex trafficking, (2) understanding the health and psychologic consequences of sex trafficking, and (3) knowing the resources available for trafficked victims/survivors

Cost:  This course is being underwritten by AMWA and is  FREE for AMWA members.  Cost of mandatory training materials (yours to keep) is $25 per person.
