Prevent the Repeal of the Affordable Care Act

Thank you to all of our members who have been advocating to save healthcare for millions of Americans. The Senate vote on the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA) has been delayed, but the fight is far from over. Physicians and students, please call your Senators at 202-224-3121 or use this directory to find your senators’ contact information. The vote on this bill is expected in July.

Under the BCRA…

22 million people would lose their health care coverage.

Medicaid would be slashed. One in five women of reproductive age rely on Medicaid.

Essential women’s health benefits such as access to maternity care and contraception would be in jeopardy.

Planned Parenthood would be defunded for one year.

Senators need to hear from their constituents.

Below is a  suggested script to use when calling your senator’s office.

Senator <INSERT NAME>, I am a <DOCTOR OR MED STUDENT> and as the Senate considers a bill to repeal the ACA, I am calling to urge you to prevent the loss of healthcare for millions of Americans and destroys Medicaid.  Please vote NO on the Motion to Proceed.

My zip code is <INSERT HERE>.
