Dr. Farzanna Haffizulla presented, “Marriage of Medicine and Technology: Preserving the Human Element in Medicine in an Era of Rising Technology” on June 12 at Emerge Americas 2017 International Technology Conference.

In this era of dynamic health care technology, the preservation, maintenance, and nurturing of the human element in medical care is vital as we strive to improve community and global health. Promoting and fostering synergy between digital tools and the practice of medicine is imperative. This process needs further study and refinement. Dr. Haffizulla outlined an internist’s view of benefits of the promotion of this marriage along with challenges that need solutions in order for our health care workforce to meet the demands of community and global health. Dr. Haffizulla is Assistant Dean of Community and Global Health, NSU College of Allopathic Medicine (M.D. College) and former AMWA President.
