January Is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month

January 11th is Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

Physicians Against the Trafficking of Humans (PATH) is an initiative of AMWA that was founded to help educate medical professionals about issues surrounding human trafficking.

On January 11th, we’d like to challenge you to learn and share at least one thing about human trafficking with your colleagues, such as…

  • GO to polarisproject.org and search your state to see local trafficking statistics.
  • SEARCH for one of our fully CME-accredited LIFT trainings near you.
  • CHECK OUT films on human trafficking and choose one to watch with a friend.

Whatever you choose, know that by increasing your own awareness, you are helping in the fight to abolish human trafficking. You can’t see what you don’t know. For more information and resources, please visit the PATH section of this website.
