The IUSM AMWA branch recently hosted the first showing for an AMWA branch of the powerful documentary States of Grace. The screening was held in Indianapolis and was shared with the whole community. The movie was watched by other AMWA chapters in the state and Terre Haute as well had a wonderful turnout. The filmmaker Helen Cohen was on hand to discuss the film as was the “Star” Dr. Grace Dammann.
Dr. Dammann’s remarkable story was made available to AMWA branches as a gift from long-time AMWA member Laura Roebuck. Other groups interested in hosting this screening can go through AMWA at associatedirector@amwa-doc.org, or contact the filmmaker Helen Cohen at helen@openstudioproductions.com.
