English- and Spanish-language educational videos on Arthritis and on Fracture Prevention and Osteoporosis now available.
Spanish-language versions of the whiteboard videos of the public education programs Experts in Arthritis and Fit to a T are now available online, in addition to English-language versions. We invite you to view and share the videos with your members and community. There are no restrictions on downloading them for public viewing.
Experts in Arthritis aims to inform people with arthritis how to take control and manage the disease, and provides for them the opportunity to interact with experts in arthritis care at live sessions.
Fit to a T educates men and women about their risk for fracture and osteoporosis, how to prevent a fracture – especially secondary fractures, bone loss and osteoporosis, and provides the opportunity to interact with healthcare professionals at live sessions.
The programs have been developed by the United States Bone and Joint Initiative (USBJI) which seeks to raise the priority of musculoskeletal health. We are delighted to collaborate with them on these public/patient educational programs.
If you are interested in scheduling a live session of either program at your center or in your community, you can sign up at www.ControlArthritis.org, or www.fit2t.org, or email usbji@usbji.org. There is no charge for the prepared presentation or handout materials and the USBJI will assist with organization and promotion.
Remember that October 12 is World Arthritis Day, and October 20 is World Osteoporosis Day. The USBJI would love to help you organize a session of these programs on those days or around that time to take advantage of the focus of attention on these disorders.
