This funder is awarding grants to physician-scientists from historically disadvantaged backgrounds, defined as those facing challenges because of their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status or similar factors. Chosen candidates will receive up to $75,000 as an annual stipend and an additional $30,000 towards research activities. Preference will be given to those who have recently completed their formal clinical training. Full proposals are due on March 18th; funding will begin in 2016.
