AMWA Traveling Exhibit
Help bring the AMWA exhibit to your community! Below is a template letter that you can send to your medical school library, medical school, or hospital asking if they will host the AMWA exhibit for one week. Once you have confirmed, please fill out this form
Dear – –
For over 100 years, the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) has been the vision and voice of women in medicine. Founded in 1915, AMWA works both locally and nationally to advance women in medicine and promote women’s health.
In honor of its recent centennial, AMWA has launched two traveling banners for display at medical institutions, hospitals, and libraries across the country. We have an active AMWA branch here at _____________ and hope that you would be willing to display these banners for 1 week to celebrate the contributions of women physicians and students in our community. The images within the banners will be an inspiration to all women who are in medicine or aspiring to pursue medical careers. A schedule for the banner’s display will take into account the location of other exhibit sites and distance.
AMWA members would be responsible for setting up and taking down the exhibit which consists of 2 retractable banners (90”x24” each) and can be seen in the image to the right.
Thank you for your kind consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
