One of Vision 2020’s goals is to promote increased voter turnout among women. A website that summarizes every issue on every candidate was introduced: ballotready.org.
Delegates from around the country shared updates regarding their work. AMWA leaders reported on the work of AMWA’s Gender Equity Task Force, including Fixing the Leaky Pipeline (for women in medicine) and website resource page for #MeTooMedicine as well as AMWA’s film, At Home and Over There: American Women Physicians in WWI which featured some of the women physician suffragists.
Words of Wisdom from Former HHS Secretary Donna Shalala’s Speech:
