AMWA joins the National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention

The National Forum focuses on advancing health equity and the implementation of the ABCS (appropriate Aspirin use, Blood pressure control, Cholesterol management, Smoking cession) to prevent heart disease and stroke at the community, state and national level. To do this, the Forum works with more than 80 members to:
Convene complementary players to develop and lead initiatives targeted specific cardiovascular diseases and its risk factors.
Enlist our member organizations to amplify and enhance the impact of heart-healthy programs, practices and policies.
AMWA’s liaison to the National Forum will be Dr. Connie Newman, a leader in AMWA’s Preventive Medicine Task Force
