AMWA Joins Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health

The Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health is a group of 14 American medical societies representing over 450,000 physicians—over half the doctors in the country – that have come together with a clear mission: to inform the public and policymakers about the harmful health effects of climate change on Americans, and about the immediate and long-term health benefits associated with decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and other preventive and protective measures. Dr. Shahnaz Fatteh will be AMWA’s initial representative on the Consortium’s Board of Directors.
