AMWA Interim Meeting – Reconnecting and Revitalizing
The AMWA Interim Meeting, held September 17-18, 2016 in Indianapolis, IN, brought together AMWA leaders from all over the country for a weekend of strategic planning, revitalization, and reconnecting. The meeting, began in conjunction with the Women of Influence 5th Annual Symposium’s Post Conference, which was organized by the Indiana University National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health. The Post Conference featured sessions on Human Trafficking (Suzanne Leonard Harrison, MD; Karen Mahjer, JD; Jennifer Drobac, JD; Jessica Evans) and the Confidential Interview (Dr. Theresa Rohr-Kirchgraber). After a lovely evening reception at the home of AMWA Immediate Past President Dr. Theresa Rohr-Kirchgraber, work began in earnest with a day and a half of strategic planning to review AMWA’s current program, plan for the launch of new initiatives, and more. A full synopsis of the AMWA 2016 Interim Meeting is available here.
