- Coordinated use of data across multiple platforms, including travel history and health insurance
- Centralized response efforts and resource allocation
- Standardized, uniform protocols throughout the country addressing PPE use, triage, patient care, and more
- Daily press briefings from the national leadership to educate and inform
- Traffic control and medical staff grouping to avoid exposure and preserve PPE
- Increased production of PPE to ensure an adequate supply chain
- Regular hospital meetings to ensure staff preparedness and protocol training
- Strict requirements and protocols for both healthcare providers and the general public
- Free and readily available testing for all suspected cases with results reported within hours
- Dormitory for staff requiring quarantine
- Active monitoring and adjustment of recommendations based on change…
At the time of the webinar, Taiwan had only 235 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and no history of community outbreaks. Of the 235 cases, 6 were healthcare providers.
