AMWA Diversity Inclusion Members Participated in the Victory Garden’s MODERN MEDICINE Following the Performance of Roz & Ray

Historically and presently, in many parts of the world, women’s participation in the profession of medicine (as physicians or surgeons) has been significantly restricted. However, women’s informal practice of medicine in roles such as caregivers or as allied health professionals has been historically widespread. Why has this been the case? What is the temperature of women & medicine today? AMWA Diversity Inclusion members met for a pre-show celebration, raising a toast to women in medicine today. They also sponsored an epic post-show conversation to open a conversation centering on themes resonating in Karen Hartman’s medical drama Roz and Ray.
