For many years, the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) has awarded the Glasgow-Rubin Certificates of Commendation for Academic Achievement to women who graduate in the top ten percent of their medical school graduating classes. We also award a separate Certificate of Commendation for any woman who graduates first in her medical school class.
For the 2018 graduating class, AMWA awarded 482 certificates of commendation to 67 medical schools that participated. These awards were presented during their graduation ceremonies.
AMWA looks forward each gradation season to honoring the outstanding women students at this very special moment in their lives. Many AMWA members were recipients of these awards at their graduations and still display and appreciate the acknowledgement of their accomplishment. It is our pleasure to recognize their success.
