AMWA and Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Survey

AMWA and Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Partner on “Advancing Healthcare for Women and Girls Survey

As part of our commitment to the healthcare of women and girls, AMWA is partnering with Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) to learn more about how women working and planning a career in healthcare view the current landscape of healthcare for women and girls.

We are doing this through a survey that investigates perceived needs and opportunities in four strategic areas that we feel correlate highly with care opportunities, experience and outcomes, namely: basic and clinical research; medical practice; health literacy; and access to care.

The survey can be completed in less than 10 minutes, and is intended to evaluate the views of women involved in all aspects of healthcare, including working professionals and students, and including those who may directly or indirectly impact patient care – e.g. those in medicine, nursing, allied health, all aspects of research and education, managed care, government, industry and patient advocacy, etc.

We encourage AMWA members and followers to participate in the survey soon, if possible, as we are looking to share interim results in early June in preparation for the upcoming Women’s Healthcare Innovation and Leadership Showcase (WHILS), a special half-day conference focused on advancing women’s healthcare, taking place on 14 June, on the campus of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in Piscataway, NJ.

AMWA is a proud supporter of WHILS 2017. AMWA president-elect, Dr. Connie Newman will be a featured speaker on the program’s opening panel session, and other AMWA leadership will be present to share our programming that supports excellence in healthcare for women and girls.
