The below is from The National Women’s Law Center:
“The National Women’s Law Center is excited to be a partner for the Women’s March on Washington this month here in Washington, D.C. We’re proud to support this historic event for women’s rights, to fight back together with so many amazing people, and to demand our voices are heard.
If you’re interested in marching with us — or joining us at other events that are being planned in the days around the march — let us know, and we’ll share information with you as details are finalized.
The march is an opportunity to stand together and demonstrate the strength and resolve of the people in our country who believe in and are fighting for equality. We challenge our leaders to work to protect the rights of women and their families and those communities that are most marginalized.
The march also provides an important chance to connect with our supporters, and we hope to see you there if you’re planning to attend. The Women’s March on Washington will send a bold message to our new government on their first day in office, and to the world, that women’s rights are human rights. We stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us.”
