Networking 102: The Components of an Effective Network

The Mentorship Committee is hosting a webinar on Networking. This webinar will be Wednesday, February 20th at 8pm and focus on understanding the structure of a network and how to build it.
** If you have not used Zoom before, we strongly recommend that you give yourself at least 5 minutes prior to the call for set-up and troubleshooting so that we can start the talk promptly on time.

Dr. Chemen Neal received a BS in biology from San Diego State University. She received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She currently works as an assistant professor at the IU School of Medicine in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She serves on the IUSM admissions committee and serves as a mentor in the institutions residency mentoring program aimed at supporting underrepresented minority residents. She also serves as faculty advisor for students in the medical schools advising program and for 4th year students applying to OB/GYN residency programs. Dr. Neal has a special interest in increasing the numbers of women and underrepresented minorities in leadership within academic medicine and helping these physicians find success, fulfillment, and balance between work and life. She currently serves on the board of directors for AMWA and co-chairs the mentorship task force.
