“My Dad Stephanie”: Movie & Discussion

In 2013, before most people knew what it meant to be transgender, there was 71 year old Phil, just a “regular” dad who finally revealed to family and friends that she was transgender – a secret she had kept hidden her entire life. Taken by surprise, her daughter and son-in-law immediately began filming to capture Stephanie’s life as a man, her transition, and their reactions over the next five years. My Dad Stephanie follows the joy, heartache, and humor of Stephanie’s transition from her life as a man to living full-time as a woman.
