Join us as the IMG Education Subcommittee presents their webinar Education Lecture Series to share guest speakers’ perspectives and guidance on a range of topics from medicine to career development. This lecture will welcome speakers Dr. Andrea Mendez, Dr. Negar Molazadeh, and Dr. Sheila Toro.
Meet Our Speakers
Dr. Andrea Méndez
Dr. Andrea Méndez is a medical doctor and cognitive neuroscientist with a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Colorado State University. Her research specializes in advanced white matter imaging, exploring age-related changes and the effects of lifestyle interventions. Currently a postdoctoral research fellow, Dr. Méndez aspires to integrate research with clinical practice as a neurologist physician-scientist.
Dr. Negar Molazadeh
Negar Molazadeh M.D. is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Neurology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Her research primarily focuses on the progressive disease course in Multiple Sclerosis and other neuroimmunologic diseases. She is passionate about medical education and raising awareness about neuroimmune disorders.
Dr. Sheila Toro
Dr. Toro is an MD from Venezuela currently employed as a Research Fellow in the Spine Division of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Rush University. Additionally, she is pursuing a master’s degree in clinical research at the same institution. Her research is focused on the role of microbiome in degenerative changes in the spine.
