Simone Brown, M.Ed.
Founder, Houston English Language Professionals, LLC
Simone Brown, founder of Houston English Language Professionals, is a teacher-entrepreneur who manages her own language consulting company. Her passion is to empower her doctor-clients to strengthen their English skills to reach their professional goals, whether it’s to perform well in an interview, connect with colleagues and patients, or present confidently in seminars. Her favorite time of the week is teaching free ESL to immigrant and refugee neighbors in Houston.

Dr. Tania Arora, MD FACS FSSO
Assistant Dean, Learner DEI, Augusta University
Dr. Arora is a surgical oncologist and has been dedication to surgical education since 2006. She is an Assistant Dean for the Medical School focused in DEI and holds national positions in surgical organization to further this work for the Association of Program Directors in Surgery, Association of Surgical Education, the Association of Academic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. She has been a Associate Program Director for 3 years and a Program Director in Surgery for 3 years.

Lan Lei, MBBS MS
PGY3 IM Chief Resident, Northside Hospital Gwinnett, GA
Dr. Lei earned her medical degree from Sun Yat-Sen University in China and is presently serving as a PGY-3 Internal Medicine Chief Resident at Northside Hospital Gwinnett, GA. She further honed her expertise by completing a breast surgical oncology research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard Medical School. In addition to her dedication to teaching and research, Dr. Lei is deeply committed to IMG community – She holds the position of Leading Resident Physician for both the Northside Hospital Gwinnett’s IMG Wellness and Development Initiative and the Chinese Medical Graduate Outreach under the auspices of the Chinese Medical Association of Atlanta. Dr. Lei became a Committee Member of the AMWA IMG Initiative in October 2022.
