February 10, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST
AMWA presents the 2nd AMWA Action Coalition for Equity Listening Session on February 10, 2022 @ 8 pm.
Join us for the second AMWA Action Coalition for Equity Listening Session to hear the personal journeys of five women in medicine who have agreed to share how it is to be a woman of color in medicine today.
Alden Landry, MD, MPH (Faculty, Harvard Medical School)
Lawren Wooten (MS4, Georgetown University School of Medicine)
Taylor Boyd (MS4, Harvard Medical School)
Tema Fodge (MS3, Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine)
Imani McElroy, MD, MPH (Surgery Resident, Massachusetts General Hospital)
Trenika Williams, MD, MS (Emergency Medicine Resident, University of Chicago Medical Center)
Our first Listening Session proved moving as we heard four compelling, intimate stories of survival and growth by four successful women physicians. This second session promises to be equally impactful. Let’s share a safe space to rally around women in medicine who share their challenges as we lend our support as allies for change.
The Henry Blackwell Circle is a community of diverse allies who collaboratively work within AMWA and with other stakeholders to advance the issues of equity and inclusion, particularly as they affect women in medicine. Learn More
We welcome men in medicine and other healthcare allies to join us in advancing gender equity in medicine. How much do you know about how women physicians navigate challenges in the healthcare workplace?
