About the Author  

Tamara Chang, MD, is a board-certified physician in pediatric hematology/oncology at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma, Washington  She is the Medical Director of the MultiCare Provider Wellness Program and Founder and Director of her hospital’s Pediatric Cancer Survivorship Program.

Dr. Chang is Program Director of AMWA ELEVATE—National Certification Program in Leadership Fundamentals for Women Physicians and she serves as the Washington State Physician Branch President of American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA). She is co-Founder of Pink Coat, MD, a safe, supportive and loving community for women physicians that supports them in doing their best work and living their best lives, and the founder of her empowerment and leadership coaching practice.

She earned her bachelor’s degree and medical degree from Brown University and completed a four-year combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Massachusetts. She completed her fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where she also served on staff as a solid tumor oncologist upon completing her fellowship training.
