Rebekah Apple, MA, DHSc

AI promises advancements faster than we’ve ever seen in healthcare. Most of us know that AI-generated information is only as accurate as the foundational data provided to the machines. This session will consider the systemic biases which have been “baked into” algorithms and what steps need to be taken to ensure AI doesn’t perpetuate gender pay gaps.

Objectives:
1) Discuss opportunities to create gender-inclusive AI principles
2) Understand how to use data to improve hiring practices and performance reviews
3) Examine the true nature of “social good” created through AI

Meet the Speaker:

Dr. Rebekah Apple, MA, DHSc
