Woman in Science
The Woman in Science Award is given to a physician who identifies as a woman, significantly advanced in career, who has had a lasting impact through exceptional contributions to medical science, especially in women’s health, through basic and /or clinical research, publications and through leadership in their field.

- Primary role (either primary investigator, co-investigator, or among many)
- Current Involvement
- Source of Grants
- Significant/lasting impact
- Publications – peer reviewed in high impact scientific journals
- High National Leadership Profile
- Advocacy of Women’s Health and Other Related Issues
- Leadership of national scientific organization(s)
- Lectures on topic of work
- Involvement in AMWA (strongly preferred but not a prerequisite)
