Linda Chaudron, MD, MS

Linda Chaudron, M.D., M.S. serves as Associate Vice President and Senior Associate Dean for Inclusion and Culture Development at the University of Rochester Medical Center and the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where she is also Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. During her career she has focused on the needs of women and children, providing clinical care and conducting research in the area of perinatal depression and anxiety. In addition, Dr. Chaudron has a personal and professional commitment to enhancing the diversity and inclusivity of academic medicine. Throughout her career she has led efforts to bring attention to the disparities and unique needs and contributions of women and under-represented groups in science and medicine. She has participated in research focusing on mentorship of under-represented faculty, developed peer mentor groups and mentoring networks, and led workshops to educate students, residents and faculty about diversity in healthcare and academic medicine. She is chair-elect of the Association of American Medical Colleges Group on Women in Medicine and Science Steering Committee, a graduate of the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine program and, in 2015, received the University of Rochester Susan B. Anthony Lifetime Achievement Award for her work with students, trainees and faculty at the University of Rochester. She has over 50 publications and has lectured widely on topics related to women’s mental health, women’s career development and a host of topics related to diversity and inclusion in academic medicine.
