Dina Halegoua-De Marzio, MD

After obtaining her medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Dr. Dina Halegoua-De Marzio, completed a residency in internal medicine, acting as Chief Resident in her final year at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Following her residency, Dr. Halegoua went on to complete fellowships in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Following her fellowship, she joined the faculty at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University as a full time transplant hepatologist and assistant professor of medicine. She developed the first adult Fatty Liver Center in the Delaware Valley and currently serves as its director. She also has taken a major role in medical education at Jefferson serving as the transplant hepatology fellowship program director and has been recognized by the housestaff with a teaching awards. Her main areas of focus include non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, along with patients with a variety of liver diseases including hepatitis B, hepatitis C, cirrhosis, HCC, autoimmune hepatitis and drug induced liver injury.Her research has been presented nationally and published in numerous scientific and medical journals.
