Bettina Pfleiderer, PhD, MD
Professor Bettina Pfleiderer, PhD. MD. works as associate professor at the department of Clinical Radiology and is head of a research group Cognition & Gender at the Medical faculty of the University of Muenster (Germany). She is developing teaching modules in gender medicine for medical students. Her research interests are brain research, gender and medicine, global leadership, global health, empowerment of women, violence against women and children. She is active the German medical women´s association and is president of the local chapter of the Munster area since several years and is mentoring female medical students and female physicians. She has been the recipient of numerous awards. She has 2 grown-up daughters. Bettina Pfleiderer serves currently as president of the Medical Women´s International Association (MWIA) till 2019. The theme of her triennium is: “Medical women- ambassadors of change!”
