MAJ Julie Hundertmark, MD
MAJ Hundertmark has held various clinical, leadership, academic, and operational positions in the Army. Upon graduating from residency, she became the Medical Director of the Consolidated Troop medical clinic Fort Benning, Georgia. She then deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008 with the 215th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division out of Fort Hood, Texas. Upon return to Fort Benning in 2010, she became the Officer in Charge of the Family Medicine Clinic where she received the Surgeon General?s Physician Recognition award for transforming the first Army Clinic into a Patient Centered Medical Home. She joined the faculty of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Fort Benning in 2011. In addition to being faculty at the Martin Army Family Medicine Residency Program, she was also the Patient Centered Medical Home Physician Champion for the Southern Region Medical Command helping to transform 53 other Primary Care Clinics into PCMH Level II and III certifications by 2014. She is currently the Deputy Commander for Clinical Services at the Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, California.
