Paul Kirchgraber, MD, MBA

Dr. Kirchgraber is Vice President and Global General Manager for Covance Central Laboratories and has held that role since August 2015.

He first joined Covance in 2007 as Senior Director of Laboratory Operations and Medical Affairs with responsibilities for the Indianapolis laboratory and the global Medical Affairs department. In 2009, he was promoted to Vice President of Global Laboratory Operations and Medical Affairs, responsible for laboratories in US, Switzerland, Singapore, China and Japan. In 2012, he took on additional responsibilities as the General Manager for the Americas.

Prior to joining Covance, Dr. Kirchgraber worked for four years at Quintiles Transnational where he held roles of increasing responsibility including Global Medical Director for the Central Laboratory. He is Board Certified in Anatomic, Clinical and Cytopathology and practiced pathology for nine years in Syracuse, New York. While in Syracuse, he assisted with the formation of a regional reference laboratory and held the role of Assistant Medical Director for Laboratory Alliance of Central New York. Dr. Kirchgraber was the 2013 recipient of the “We’re All in Sales” Award recognizing his contributions to Covance’s commercial efforts.

After graduating from Cornell University Medical School, he interned in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve/University Hospitals and completed Pathology residency and fellowship at the Institute of Pathology. He received his MBA from SUNY Binghamton. Paul lives in Indianapolis, Indiana where he is currently a member of the Board of Advisors for the Wellness Council of Indiana.
